UK Antiques Fairs Booming

The recent reports about market strengths both at the Chelsea Antiques Fair and the November Olympia Fair point to a resurgence of interest in fine early pieces of furniture. This has certainly been borne out over the past twelve months by our own experiences. The recent rate changes where the US Dollar has strengthened against the UK£ to about USD 1.7 = GBP£1- has helped raise the market and it appears that some of the influx of wealth from the former eastern bloc countries is filtering down to the UK Antiques Trade.
