BOTLEIGH GRANGE ANTIQUES AND FINE ART FAIR LAUNCHES IN SOUTHAMPTON

Published January 9th, 2010

The Botleigh Grange Antiques and Fine Art Fair opens at the Legacy Botleigh Grange Hotel & Spa, Grange Road, Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire from Friday 23 until Sunday 25 April 2010. This second new fair to be launched by The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited in 2010 is the most southern location of all seven fairs.
A diverse selection of specialist dealers, all members of the British Antique Dealers’ Association or LAPADA, the UK’s largest association of art and antiques dealers, are coming together to fill the 30 stands with an enticing selection including town and country furniture, oil and watercolour paintings, sculpture, original book illustrations, portrait miniatures, traditional prints and maps, jewellery, Chinese ceramics and textiles, silver, oriental rugs and carpets, glass, objets d’art and objects of vertu.
Befitting the location, the fair’s charity is the RNLI, the organisation that saves lives at sea (www.rnli.org.uk). A charity evening with wine is taking place on the opening night between 6 and 8pm.
Botleigh Grange, a historical English house, is a Legacy Hotel, situated in an idyllic setting complete with lakes. With Southampton International Airport less than 6 miles away, within 1 mile of the M27 motorway and around an hour from London, it is easily accessible. The award-winning restaurant has an attractive glass dome ceiling with views overlooking the gardens to make a day out; or stay overnight to enjoy a weekend exploring what this area of the south of England has to offer, whilst considering the stunning antiques and fine art on offer.
